Merlot DOC Friuli Latisana Terre d'Argilla - red wine
Description: The Merlot DOC Latisana from Terre d'Argilla range, has an intense ruby red colour, its aroma is very invinting with a hint of mulberry, red berries and slight mention of liquorice. In the mouth it is harmonic, agreeable and untained.
Grape: Merlot.
Vineyard area: 3Ha.
Type of soil: Compact clay.
Cultivation system: Silvoz, Guyot.
Vinification: Fermentation of 10-12 days at controlled temperature.
Aging: 80% of the aging takes place in steel tanks, the remaining 20% in small French wooden barrels and subsequent 4 months in the bottle.
Best served with: Ideal with first course game dishes, red meat and mature cheese.
