Vineyard area: Friuli Latisana DOC district, 30 kms southwest of Udine.
Type of soil: Compact clay.
Cultivation system: Guyot and Silvoz.
Vinification: The grapes go through a maceration process to soften the skins for 14/18 days at a maximum temperature of 28°C (82°F)
Aging: 12 months in French oak barrels and 4 months in bottle.
Best served with: It is best served with red meat, game and mature cheese. Allow the wine to breathe at least a couple of hours before serving. Serve at 18°C (64°F).
