Grapes: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc.
Vineyard area: Friuli Latisana DOC district, 30 kms southwest of Udine.
Type of soil: Compact clay.
Cultivation system: Guyot and Silvoz.
Vinification: Maceration of the grapes at a controlled temperature for 13-14 days in steel tubs.
Aging: A part of the wine is aged in used French oak barriques and after the final blending the wine rests for 6 months in the bottle.
Best served with: Excellent with game, red meat and cheese. Allow the wine to breathe at least a couple of hours before serving.
Serve at 18°C (64°F).
